About this place
The signature Omoni-yaki is a generously filled okonomiyaki with pork, squid, shrimp and scallops. Diners have noted the crisp texture of its finely shredded cabbage, as well as the satisfying portions of large shrimp and squid. The batter is kept light so the cabbage’s natural sweetness can come through. Sauce is added to taste rather than applied heavily from the outset, making this a good choice for anyone who likes to adjust the seasoning themselves.
For a little more noodle, the modern-yaki can be made with soba or udon. Yakisoba is another option if you would rather order a separate dish to share. One pair who shared pork and squid okonomiyaki with a small serving of yakisoba said the pickled ginger gave the meal a welcome lift right to the last bite.
Alongside okonomiyaki, the menu includes dishes such as pork kimchi stir-fry. The kimchi stir-fry has a broth-like quality, with a soup made using oden stock, and can be paired with rice. The restaurant is on the 7 floor of Grand Front Osaka’s South Building and serves lunch and dinner. One report mentions a wait to get in at lunchtime on a weekend.
